Rescue in Atlantic City Saturday as Firefighters Save Worker

Atlantic City Firefighters rescued a man who fell 15 feet down a shaft at the sewage treatment plant Saturday afternoon.

Officials with the Atlantic City Firefighters Local 198 say the unidentified worker had fallen in a sewage filtration tank:

Under the command of Acting Battalion Chief Kevin Munn 2 firefighters, FF Daniel Lopez and FF Brian Berthold proceeded to repel down the shaft to locate the patient and eventually package the injured worker. The injured worker was then hauled back to the surface where he was treated and transported to the local medical center.
