Shoobie Caught Stealing Car in Cape May County

A Pennsylvania man is in custody after stealing a car and being stopped by Cape May County law enforcement officers.

Lower Township Police say they received a stolen vehicle call Thursday night from Ocean Drive in the Cold Spring section of the township.

With a car description, officers spotted the car traveling north on Route 9 and were able to make a high-risk stop. The driver,  Joseph Alletag, 38, of Lititz, Pennsylvania was taken into custody and charged with receiving stolen property.

Police say the vehicle has been returned to its owner.
