    Go on a beach hunt.

    This works especially well right after a storm. Take a walk on the beach early in the morning and look for some of the cool things that wash ashore. Maybe you'll find a few shark teeth, beautiful sea glass, cool shells, and maybe even a message in a bottle.

    Climb all of the lighthouses.

    Full of history and breathtaking views, lighthouses allow you to see South Jersey from a different angle. There are 11 lighthouses in New Jersey, 8 of them in New Jersey. What's even cooler we have some on both the ocean and the Delaware River.

    Tour de Ice Cream.

    One of the many perks of a summer community is the abundance of ice cream places. Seriously, ice cream is not in short supply down here. Go to ones you've been to and find ones you've never even heard of. Name something better than ice cream on a hot summer night? I know, it's impossible.

    Learn how to clam.

    Clamming is a pretty popular activity in New Jersey. Although it's a little bit north, Island Beach State Park offers clamming programs in the Barnegat Bay.

    Weird New Jersey tour.

    Do you like haunted sites? How about weird roadside oddities? Are you a fan of the Jersey Devil? What about the blue hole? There are a bunch of Weird New Jersey sites here in South Jersey. Try to hit as many as possible this summer. Be advised to not go on private property/ We aren't suggesting you do that.

    Catch a double feature at Delsea Drive-In.

    It is amazing how many people I mention the drive-in to that have never heard of it before. Load up the car and head to Vineland to catch a double feature. It is a unique experience that exclusive to South Jersey.

    Visit a U-Pick Farm.

    This is the Garden State after all. Go pick some fresh fruits at a local farm right here in South Jersey. Nothing tastes better than juicy fresh picked fruit.

    Go to a county fair or carnival.

    Cotton candy, petting zoos, live music,  a sausage sandwich, and fresh squeezed lemonade. Oh man, now I'm hungry. There are plenty of fairs, festivals, and carnivals throughout the summer. Catch one or two or three.

    Have an arcade olympics.

    Give everyone a roll of coins and set the rules. Decide which games to play, make teams, and compete. The team with the most tickets at the end wins.

    Go whale and dolphin watching.

    There are plenty of tour companies that will take you out on a boat to see some dolphins and whales. Make sure you bring a waterproof case for your camera especially on tours on speed boats.

    Go to a diner after midnight.

    Why is diner food better after dinner and before breakfast? Load up on some disco fries and a burger for a late night snack.

    Go paddle boarding.

    Although I've never tried it, I've always wanted to. There are a few places to go paddle boarding in South Jersey in Harvey Cedars, Wildwood, Stone Harbor, Avalon, Ocean City, and Sea Isle City.

    Have a bonfire on the beach.

    Grab your friends, a few blankets, s'mores stuff, and head to the beach for a night time bonfire. Make sure you check with the beach before you head over.

    Watch the sunrise.

    Yes, I know, I know, that means you have to wake up early. I promise it is worth it.
