A 17-year-old man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Hamilton Township Wednesday evening.

Hamilton Township Police say the crash happened around 8:30 at Tilton and Wrangleboro Roads. A preliminary investigation revealed a car being driven by 19-year-old Christian Mejia of Egg Harbor Township was traveling south on Wrangleboro Road when he attempted to make a left turn on to Tilton Road. He collided with a Jeep Wrangler being driven by a 17-year-old man who was traveling north on Wrangleboro Road. After the initial impact, the Jeep Wrangler overturned and came to rest on the shoulder of the road.

The 17-year-old sustained serious injuries and was transported to ARMC-City for treatment. A second passenger in the Jeep Wrangler was also taken to the hospital for treatment. Mejia refused medical treatment, according to police.

The crash remains under investigation and motor vehicle charges are pending.
