The Ladies Invitational Bluefish Tournament Reels in the Summer!

The weather's warming up and according to our Fishing Guru Tom P., the waters are SCREAMING for some fisherwomen!

Yep. I said it. It's time for the ladies to hook, line and SINK some fishies, all for a good cause!

The Ladies Invitational Bluefish Tournament (L.I.B.T) is a nonprofit that raises money to provide uninsured / underinsured mammograms. In collaboration with AtlantiCare, the L.I.B.T. committed their fundraising efforts by supporting the RNS Mobile Mammography Assistance Fund, which would provide early detection breast cancer screening to women residing in Atlantic, Cape May and Southern Ocean Counties.

The annual Women's fishing tournament has a very fun filled schedule that kicks-off on Tuesday, June 20th with a captains meeting. Fishing for the women anglers is 2 out of 4 days, with the entire tournament coming to a close on Sunday, June 25th, with an awesome awards dinner for all the contributors!

Since L.I.B.T. does not have any paid employees, they rely solely on the support of volunteers and always welcome new ones. If you wish to volunteer, you can simply email them!

With the continued support of generous sponsors and no paid volunteers, the fundraising efforts of L.I.B.T. have raised more than $440,000 benefiting the local community.
