Two Arrested on LBI With High Capacity Handgun
Two people are in jail after a handgun with a high capacity magazine was uncovered during a traffic stop on Long Beach Island.
Long Beach Township Police say police stopped a vehicle on Long Beach Boulevard at 12:30am Monday.
During an investigation, police say "a loaded handgun containing a large capacity magazine was located inside the vehicle in the area of the driver and front passenger."
Police arrested both the driver and the passenger, and they were booked into the Ocean County Jail. They've been identified as Ashon Miller and Terrence Murray- Loach. Both have been charged with possession of a firearm, possession of a defaced firearm and possession of a large capacity magazine.
Police say Miller "was also found to be in possession of a prescription legend drug without a valid prescription and drug paraphernalia."
The investigation continues in the case.
