Two Teenage Girls Struck By Ship Bottom Beach Patrol Vehicle
Some tense moments on the beach in Ship Bottom Saturday afternoon as two teenage girls were struck by a vehicle belonging to the Ship Bottom Beach Patrol.
Ship Bottom Police say the incident happened on the 26th Street Beach just after 1pm.

Here are the details of the incident from police:
One 14 year old female of Fleetwood, PA and one 15 year old of Leestwood, PA were laying on the beach when the beach patrol vehicle struck them. The driver was John Purdon, 22, of Barnegat, NJ. The juveniles were transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center where they were treated and later released from the hospital to their families. Mr. Purdon was charged with Reckless Driving pending his court date.
