Into the woods I went, in search of the Millville Bigfoot!

Over the last couple of weeks, we've stumbled upon video of a local man who claims that Bigfoot is alive and well, and living in the greater Millville area.

Well, actually he says he know there's a family of six Bigfoot living there.

We did a story on the man's findings last week. You can click here to read it.

Rather than rest on someone else's findings, being the fervent scientist that I am, I decided to take the matter in my own hands and head for the woods.

I tried to convince co-workers, friends, and family to go "Squatching" with me, but no one seemed keen to the idea of getting up at 5am to drive to Millville and search for big hairy creatures when it's below freezing outside.

So, I went ahead, unknown, into the great unknown.

To Menantico Ponds Fish and Wildlife Management Area I went. Early in the morning. Early in the morning is the best time of the day, by the way.

The entrance to Menantico Ponds is on Route 49, not too far away from Route 55. The entrance is a little hard to find - unless you see the telephone pole, clearly marked "HERE"!

Here's a look at what happened: (If the video doesn't play, click here.)

By the way, Menantico Ponds is beautiful! It's probably actually more beautiful on a hot sunny summer day, rather than a cold early morning in the middle of winter.

Maybe I'll return again. When it's warmer.
