Wildwood Crest Police Say Philly Man Threatened to Kill Officers
Wildwood Crest Police have released details on an incident that happened earlier this month, when a man threatened the lives of several police officers.
Police say that on the afternoon of July 19th, officers responded to the report of a rock thrown through a window at a residence on West Cresse Avenue.
An investigation led them to a home on West Morning Glory Road, where they located a suspect, Dennis Urick, 41, of Philadelphia. That's where things turned nasty, according to police. They say Urick "became disorderly and made several threats to kill the officers. While at police headquarters, Urick damaged police department equipment, spit on officers, and continued to make threats against the officers’ lives."
Urick was processed into the Cape May County Jail and faces these charges:
*Terroristic Threats (9 counts)
*Aggravated Assault on Law Enforcement (2 counts)
*Throwing Bodily Fluids on Law Enforcement (1 count)
*Resisting Arrest (1 count)
*Criminal Mischief (5 counts)
*Disorderly Conduct (1 count)
*Failure to Allow Fingerprinting (1 count)
