Woman Hospitalized After Stabbing in Little Egg Harbor

A 31-year-old Barnegat woman is in the hospital recovering from being stabbed in an incident Sunday evening.

Little Egg Harbor Township Police say they were called out to an address on Winged Foot Lane for a fight Sunday, at about 7:45pm.

Police say when they arrived on the scene they found a woman who had been stabbed. The accused person had already fled the scene.

Officers were able to render first aid to the victim who was eventually air-lifted to the Atlantic City Medical Center. Police say she was initially in critical condition, but at last check she was reported stable.

Police have not released the woman's identity.

Meanwhile, an investigation is underway, and police are asking for the public's help:
