25-Year-Old Villas Man Killed in Cape May Crash

A Villas man was killed in a single car crash last week, according to officials from the Lower Township Police Department.

According to police the crash occurred just before midnight on January 12th on Fishing Creek Road:

The investigation revealed Patrick Wood, 25, of, Villas was driving a 2008 Nissan Altima northbound in the area of Breakwater Road. Wood lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and strike a tree before coming to a rest.

Patrick Wood was treated at the scene for life threatening injuries and eventually transported to Cape Regional Medical Center where he died as a result of his injuries.

The investigation is continuing.
