3 Arrested, Including a Fugitive from CA, Following North Wildwood Burglary
Three people, including a person wanted by the FBI in California, have been arrested following a residential burglary in North Wildwood Wednesday night.
According to a press release, North Wildwood Police responded to a home on the 1400 block of Delaware Avenue around 11:00 Wednesday night. Officers found a woman sitting in a car in front of a home and then found the back door of a home had been forced open. Inside, cops found two men, identified as 35-year-old Robert Portune of Vacaville, CA, and 21-year-old Johnathon Reyes of Green Creek, hiding in a bathroom. Those two were arrested, along with 25-year-old Danielle Gennarelli of North Wildwood, who was sitting in the vehicle.
Portune was wanted by the FBI in Sacramento, CA, on a weapons-related charge. He was charged with being a fugitive from justice, burglary, theft, criminal mischief, hindering apprehension, disorderly conduct, and conspiracy. Portune is awaiting extradition back to California.
Both Reyes and Gennarelli were charged with various burglary-related crimes and both were released on summonses.
