Yes, I know. Slowly is how we're opening. Slowly and safely (hopefully). That doesn't make our excitement level decrease about some fun restaurants.

We were only a month or two away from the grand opening of the new Texas Roadhouse in Egg Harbor Township, when everything was shutdown.

According to their website, the location on the corner of the Black Horse Pike and Fire Road is scheduled to open in June, but we're not sure if that's actually for carryout (if the state doesn't open restaurants by then) or it's just a "best guess" by the company.

If you're hankering for a great steak, you can at least let your eyes do some shopping on their menu.

Second on our list is the Vagabond Kitchen and Tap House in Egg Harbor Township.  The original Vagabond in Atlantic City expanded earlier this year onto the McCullough’s Emerald Golf Links on Ocean Heights Avenue in EHT. Because of the pandemic, they closed their dining room after only being open a matter of days. The restaurant is doing curbside pickup until they can fully reopen.

Finally, maybe the most anticipation is for the reopening of the Sweetwater Riverdeck, on the Mullica River.

Owners have done an extensive rebuild, taking the property to the next level. We understand their boat ramp in open, but the bar/restaurant is, of course, on hold.

Here are a couple videos from their Facebook page that show the progress of the property:
