A 4-year-old Egg Harbor Township Boy has died, apparently drowning in a swimming pool.

The Press of Atlantic City reports that the drowning occurred overnight Saturday.

Police reportedly had been searching for the boy in the area of the London Court Condominiums. No word on what swimming pool was involved.

Police have not released the boy's identity.

Here's an update from the Egg Harbor Township Police Department:

On Saturday, April 30, 2016, at 9:09 pm Egg Harbor Township Police responded to the area of London Court Condos, in the Farmington section of the township, in reference to a missing 4 year old. Upon arrival Officer Michael Niceta was advised by the parents that the child had gotten out of the residence and they were unable to locate him.

A search was begun which included numerous officers and K-9 teams. Egg Harbor Township Police were assisted by Northfield Police, State Forest Fire Service Bloodhounds and a New Jersey State Police Helicopter. After approximately 2 hours of searching the child was located in the London Court Condos community pool. The child was removed from the water, CPR was started and he was flown to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Campus where he was pronounced deceased.
