The second half of January was rather busy for police officers in Egg Harbor Township.

According to statistics posted on Facebook by the department on Wednesday, they answered 3,166 calls for service from January 16th through the 31st.

In addition to nearly four dozen people being arrested, there were 32 domestic violence calls, 659 traffic stops resulting in 245 tickets being issued, 67 accidents, one vehicle burglary and one residential burglary, and over 1,300 property checks.

Egg Harbor Township Police provided the following list of arrested persons. As always, they are all considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  • January 16th — Thomas Dunlap, Williamstown — arrested for an outstanding warrant
  • January 17th — Fritzbirt Octavius, Egg Harbor Township — arrested and charged with driving under the influence
  • January 17th — Morcedes Cox, Ventnor — arrested for an outstanding warrant and also charged with shoplifting
  • January 17th — Joel Bacon, Pleasantville — arrested and charged with criminal trespassing
  • January 17th — Thomas Sear, Mays Landing — arrested and charged with driving under the influence
  • January 18th — Daniel McConnell, Egg Harbor Township — arrested and charged with simple assault
