Nine Free Spooky Halloween Attractions in South Jersey
There are lots of free and super fun events going on around South Jersey this Halloween season.
You don't have to drop a lot of cash to find something festive for your family. From parades to pumpkin patches, to our our very own Safe Trick or Treat, South Jersey is full of fun things to do that won't break the bank. Here are some ideas.

Haunted Seaport in Tuckerton
When: October 18-21.
This sounds so fun WE wanna go to! There are pirates and sea captains, hayrides, the Jersey Devil, pumpkin slime, crafts, games, make-your-own trick-or-treat bag, pumpkins, a hay bale maze, and dance party!

Costume Pet Parade in Smithville
When: Saturday, October 20, 1 p.m.
If you've got fur babies at home, they can get in on the Halloween action, too! Bring your pet out in his Halloween best to join the Paw Dazzle parade at Historic Village Green.

Cape May Halloween Parade
When: Sunday, October 21, 1:30 p.m.
Start the day with trick-or-treating at Washington Street Mall and then catch the parade down strolling down to Physick Estate, with prizes for the most creative costumes!

Ocean City Halloween Parade
When: Thurs. October 25, 6:30 p.m.
If Cape May is a bit too far, jump off the Parkway at Ocean City. On the 25th, Asbury Avenue becomes consumed with floats and costumes.

Cat Country's Safe Trick or Treat in Northfield
When: Saturday, October 27, 11a-1p.
We've got lots of family-friendly fun planned for our annual Halloween event at Birch Grove Park. A kids costume contest, pumpkin patch, and hayrides are on the schedule, and, of course, LOTS of candy in a safe environment. It's a great way to get an extra wear out of the lil' ones Halloween costumes.

Ultimate Halloween at Tropicana
When: Saturday, October 27, 7-11 p.m.
This is free fun for the big kids on the 27th for the area's biggest costume contest at The Quarter inside Trop in Atlantic City. You could go home with a $500 gift card!

HalloWheaton in Millville
When: Sunday, October 28, 1-4 p.m.
Kids can walk the grounds of the Wheaton Arts & Cultural Center, trick-or-treat and snap pics with costumed characters. They can also watch a performance of spooky skits.

Witch's Day Out in Smithville
When: Sunday, October 28, 2-6 p.m.
Decide if you're a 'good' witch or a 'bad' witch, and head out to Village Green in Historic Smithville, where you can compete in the witch's hat contest! There's also a scavenger hunt, a bunch of witchy-themed games, and sweet snacks.

Glassboro Fall Festival & Trunk or Treat
When: Wednesday, October 31, 5-8 p.m.
If you'd rather not take the kids door-to-door for candy, head out to New Glassboro Town Square on Rowan Blvd. Your little ones can round up more candy faster, plus enjoy bouncy houses, live music, coffin selfies, and more! Police, fire, and ambulance vehicles will also be onsite for curious kids.
