A charter airline company that plans to use Atlantic City International Airport as a base of operations is interested in hiring 15 to 20 more flight attendant trainees from South Jersey, according to an Atlantic County spokesperson.

After the success of its initial recruitment and training of 13 local residents to serve as flight attendants, Global Crossing Airlines is seeking additional trainees to join its team.

Atlantic City International Airport will serve as the northern U.S. base of operations for GlobalX, a Miami-based charter airline that will be flying Airbus A320/321 aircraft for casinos, cruise lines, major hotel and resort destinations, and incentive groups.

Global Crossing also has contracts to fly the Temple and Monmouth university sports teams out of ACY.

Prospective flight attendants must be at least 21 years of age, have two years of customer service experience, have a valid passport with permission to travel both domestically and internationally. They must also have proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

Successful candidates will earn a competitive wage with full benefits provided by GlobalX at no expense to the employee. They must complete a four-week training program to be held Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM. The last week of training will be held in Miami. GlobalX will cover the costs of travel and lodging.

If this job opportunity sounds like it could be right for you, act quickly. Training is expected to begin in November, so those interested are encouraged to call by October 8.
