Atlantic City Couple Fights, Meanwhile House Catches on Fire
Things got heated in more ways than one early Sunday morning at an Atlantic City residence in the 600 block of Tennessee Avenue.
Atlantic City Police say officers responded to a domestic dispute and house fires just after 3am. The Atlantic City Fire Department was able to handle the fire.
Here's the details of just what happened, according to police:
Officers learned that Jaleah Coles-Beck, 18, and her boyfriend, Kadeem Sutton, 31, became involved in a physical altercation while inside the residence. The altercation took them outside. Coles-Beck returned to the residence and assaulted a second man that was in the home. At some point, a fire began in the kitchen. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
After the leaving the residence, Sutton was transported by a family member to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division for treatment after he was struck in the face by an object thrown by Coles-Beck. Coles-Beck was later transported to the medical center for treatment after complaining of an injury from the altercation and fire. After being treated, Coles-Beck and Sutton were arrested.
Police say Coles-Beck was taken to the Atlantic County Jail, while Sutton was charged and released on a summons.
