Things got heated in more ways than one early Sunday morning at an Atlantic City residence in the 600 block of Tennessee Avenue.

Atlantic City Police say officers responded to a domestic dispute and house fires just after 3am. The Atlantic City Fire Department was able to handle the fire.

Here's the details of just what happened, according to police:

Officers learned that Jaleah Coles-Beck, 18,  and her boyfriend, Kadeem Sutton, 31, became involved in a physical altercation while inside the residence. The altercation took them outside. Coles-Beck returned to the residence and assaulted a second man that was in the home. At some point, a fire began in the kitchen. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

After the leaving the residence, Sutton was transported by a family member to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division for treatment after he was struck in the face by an object thrown by Coles-Beck. Coles-Beck was later transported to the medical center for treatment after complaining of an injury from the altercation and fire. After being treated, Coles-Beck and Sutton were arrested.

Police say Coles-Beck was taken to the Atlantic County Jail, while Sutton was charged and released on a summons.
