Cops in Atlantic City say three people were arrested after a narcotics investigation led to the recovery of a gun late last week.

Detectives with the Atlantic City Police Department and members of the SWAT Team executed a search warrant in the first block of South Florida Avenue last Thursday, according to the ACPD, and also at a motel room in the 3000 block of Pacific Avenue.

Cops say, "Rashid Sims, the target of the investigation, was arrested as well as Treyvon Chisum and Kiersten Saporito. Detectives recovered a loaded handgun, heroin, and packaging materials used to distribute narcotics."

36-year-old Rashid Sims of Galloway Township was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, certain persons not to possess a weapon, possession of hollow-point ammunition, and contempt of court.

22-year-old Treyvon Chisum of Atlantic City was charged with possession of CDS and contempt of court.

26-year-old Kiersten Saporito of Barnegat was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of hollow-point ammunition.

All three were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Charges are mere accusations, and the accused are considered innocent until proven guilty.
