Atlantic City Police Make Arrest in One Man Crime Spree Case
Atlantic City Police have arrested a man they say is responsible for four different criminal incidents - three of which included him firing a gun.
Police say Shakeem Roberts, 24, of Atlantic City, was arrested March 19th "after he became involved in an altercation with security officers at the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division."
Here's how police describe the incidents involving Roberts:
Roberts was wanted following an investigation by detectives of the Street Crimes Unit into three reports of gunfire in Atlantic City. Roberts was also involved in a domestic violence assault.
During the incidents of gunfire, patrol officers responded each time to a ShotSpotter alert. Two incidents occurred in December of last year and one in February of this year. Evidence of gunfire was located in all three.
Roberts was also involved in a March 2020 domestic assault where he kicked in the front door of a woman he had a previous relationship with and assaulted her.
Roberts faces numerous charges and is being held in the Atlantic County Jail.
