Police in Atlantic City responded to a call about a man with a knife - and it turned out he had a sawed off shotgun, too.

Police say they answered a call Wednesday evening at a residence in the Vermont Avenue Apartments.

Police determined Troy Bailey, 49, of Atlantic City had threatened a female companion during an argument. Bailey was apprehended and placed into custody, according to a post on the Atlantic City Police Department's Facebook page. As part of their investigation, police recovered the knife, a sawed-off shotgun, and ammunition.

Bailey was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a shotgun, certain person not to possess a weapon, simple assault, and terroristic threats. He was taken to the Atlantic County Jail.
