The teen was crossing South New Road, between Lafayette and Shaw Avenues, when he was struck by one vehicle, then another.

The boy's name has not been released, police say he died at the hospital.

NJ.com reports that the investigation by police is continuing, and no tickets have been issued and no arrests have been made.

Meanwhile, a car pedestrian accident in Tuesday morning at Johnson and Bay Avenues in Somers Point involving a mother and daughter is under investigation, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

According to the report, an 81-year-old woman was pinned between two cars and sustained life-threatening injuries. The 81-year old, from Northfield, was loading beach items into one vehicle when another car, driven by her 58-year-old daughter from Ocean View, accidentally struck the back of the other car, pinning her mother.

The Press of Atlantic City says both women were taken to the hospital. The daughter was treated for injuries and released, but the 81-year-old mother was being treated for serious injuries after being taken to the trauma unit.

Neither woman has been identified, and the incident by Somers Point Police remains under investigation.

Another car-pedestrian accident happened on the White Horse Pike in Absecon Sunday. A man from Massachusetts died in that accident. Details on that incident can be found here.
