Don’t Forget To Check Out The Cape May, NJ Holiday House Tour This Month
It's officially December which means everyone will be racing to cross off all of their annual Christmas traditions off their to-do list before the big man in red comes falling down the chimney.
While South Jersey is home to many beloved holiday events and traditions, you might want to make time for one of the loveliest of them all: the Christmas house tour in Cape May. If you've never been, it's basically like you've traveled into your own Hallmark Christmas movie.
Downtown Cape May is full of old Victorian-style homes that are decorated beautifully for the Christmas season. The tradition dates all the way back to the early 1970s, 1973, to be exact, and has become a wonderful tradition for not just those that call South Jersey home, but out-of-state visitors, as well. The house tour lasts for three nights in December, usually one night for a few consecutive weekends. This year, you can take a tour of more than ten historic homes all decked out for the season on either December 4th, 11th, or 18th.
On Saturday, December 18th is when you'll get to tour the most homes. Make note, though, that it is recommended you purchase tickets as soon as possible. Since this is a popular attraction this time of year, they're a pretty hot commodity. Before you go, you can even take a look at a sneak preview below of a video Cape May MAC has put together to give you a little taste of what to expect.
