STAFFORD — A distracted driver caused a three car collision in Stafford Township on Friday, according to the Stafford Township Police Department.

Brianna Matullo, 25, of Manahawkin was traveling west on Route 72 near Breakers Drive when she did not see traffic stopped ahead allegedly due to being distracted. Matullo plowed her car into the rear of a 2012 Honda CRV driven by Maria Veloso, 68, of North Brunswick.

Both vehicles struck a third vehicle driven by Joe Adams, 28, of Pipersville, Pennsylvania.

Matullo has been charged with Careless Driving, pending a future court appearance in Stafford Municipal Court.
