Cops say a man has been arrested in connection to two bank robberies in Camden County earlier this month.

Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill Mayer says Chris Leblanc was arrested last Thursday by officers with the Evesham Township Police Department.

According to authorities, on July 13th, Leblanc entered the Acme Supermarket in Runnemede, went to the Citizens Bank branch inside of that store, and passed a note to a teller demanding money. He left the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

Three days later, Leblanc allegedly committed the same crime, this time at ShopRite on Berlin-Cross Keys Road in Winslow Township. There, he passed a note to a teller at the PNC Bank branch inside of the market and then fled with cash.

In both cases, Mayer's office says the notes that were passed to the bank tellers indicated they would be shot if they did not comply. No one was injured in either robbery.

Leblanc is currently being held in the Burlington County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing sometime later this week.

The public is reminded that all persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

I know being a police officer can come with a lot of criticism, especially when there are bad eggs that give police officers a bad name. I can assure you that there are many police officers that uphold the law and do not abuse it, and my husband is one of them.

I hear stories when my husband comes home and he tells me that he encounters some crazy people. I feel like it is very simple to not get arrested by a police officer once you're pulled over or have an encounter with a cop. I went right to my hubby and he gave me some tips to share with all of you.
