A 19-year-old Northfield man is in trouble after an 18-year-old Somers Point man showed up at a local hospital with burns that were from being set on fire.
Northfield Police say they were contacted by Somers Point Police about a man being treated for burns at Shore Memorial Hospital.
Police say an investigation determined that the man was deliberately set on fire. Police say the victim sustained second degree burns on his hands, arms, stomach and thighs. They say was "intentionally lit on fire using an accelerate believed to be gasoline."
Northfield Police arrested Deshoin Rowell, 19, of Northfield. He faces charges including "Aggravated Arson, Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Possession of a Weapon, and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose." He's being held in the Atlantic County Jail.
The case remains under investigation.
