Cove Beach in Mays Landing Closed

Folks looking to beat the heat in Mays Landing today won't be able to visit a popular beach.

According to Hamilton Township Police, Cove Beach on Park Road will be closed today as a precaution due to elevated bacteria levels. Authorities point-out that this can be caused by the recent hot and humid weather.

The Atlantic County Board of Health will be testing the water again later today and if tests are clear, the Cove will reopen on Thursday.
