EHT Diner Fire Ruled Suspicious

Police and fire officials in Egg Harbor Township have labeled a mid-week diner fire as "suspicious."

The fire occurred early Wednesday morning at Ref's Tap House at the former Cardiff Circle in Egg Harbor Township. The business was closed at the time, and there were no injuries reported.

According to EHT Police:

Once extinguished the fire was determined to be suspicious in nature. Detective John Heim of Egg Harbor Township Police Department Criminal Investigation Bureau and Egg Harbor Township Fire Inspector Donald Stauffer responded to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire. Investigators with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the Atlantic County Prosecutors Office are assisting in this investigation.
