There are some who think of the sound of night-training flights from the New Jersey Air National Guard’s 177th Fighter Wing as a mild inconvenience, with military jets "buzzing our house", but, by and large, most people in South Jersey don't seem to mind the sound of the military jets at all, even at night.

The New Jersey Air National Guard’s 177th Fighter Wing has announced its schedule for night-flying training in October.

According to a Facebook post from the 177th,

...the training flights are designed to help prepare mission-capable, combat-ready Airmen and aircraft for the homeland defense mission and world-wide deployment in support of U.S. Air Force objectives.

The 177th Fighter Wing will be conducting night-flying training Oct. 1-4 and 8-11.
