Former Band Member Pleads Guilty to Exposing Himself to 12-Year-Old in Atlantic City
A former guitarist for the band Owl City has pleaded guilty to exposing himself to a 13-year-old girl on an Atlantic City beach.
Atlantic City Prosecutor Damon Tyner says Daniel P. Joregensen, 32. of Minneapolis pleaded guilty to Fourth Degree Lewdness with a Child. He was sentenced to serve two years probation in his hometown in Minnesota.
Jorgensen was indicted on charges in 2015 relating to attempting to lure a child and engaging in criminal sexual contact. The incident occurred four years ago when the band made a tour stop in Atlantic City.
According to Tyner:
During sentencing, the victim addressed the Court explaining the impact the offense has had on her, and how it significantly inhibited her ability to lead a normal teenage life. The Court recognized the traumatic impact the offense had on the victim, and found that there was a significant need to deter the defendant’ behavior, recognizing the defendant had no prior criminal history.
