Goodbye COVID, Hello Salmonella and Turkey Bowling in Somers Point NJ!
Covid kept us down for one year, but not for two.
For the 23rd time, we're doing the Joe Kelly Turkey Bowling Challenge!
If you're new to the words "Turkey Bowling", let me clue you in.
We hand you a turkey and then you do your best to bowl that turkey down our makeshift lane towards the bowling pins. Score a strike and you win!
Of course there are some "wild card" factors, like weather and the "thawness" of the bird - it starts out frozen, but if it's warm, it'll though really fast, and turkeys throw across an asphalt parking lot tend to, uh, fall apart over time.
So, yeah, it's a lot of fun!
We're going back to one of our original turkey bowling sites - Galloway Tire and Auto on Route 9 in Somers Point.
Even if you don't think you want to bowl (oh, you'll change your mind), stop by for a chance to win tickets to next summer's Barefoot Country Music Fest in Wildwood.
We'll be doing the morning show live from the parking lot of Galloway Auto and Tire from 5:30 - 10 am on Wednesday, November 24th. You can come and bowl turkeys with us from 7 - 10 am.
While we're there we will also be collecting canned goods for donation to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey.
We can't wait!
