Hamilton Township Man Stabs His Own Mother

A Hamilton Township man is behind bars after reportedly stabbing his own mother multiple times early Tuesday morning.

The Township of Hamilton Police Department reports a 44-year-old man is in custody after reportedly stabbing his 65-year-old mother multiple times, while she slept.

The victim was taken to AtlantiCare Hospital in Atlantic City with what are described as "non-life threatening moderate wounds."

Neither the suspect nor the victim have been identified, other that the incident occurred in the Harding Lakes section of the township.

The suspect is being held in the Atlantic County Jail on $75,000 full cash bail.
