If you have two outstanding warrants and are driving an uninsured vehicle, the last thing you want to do is crash into a cop car.

But Hamilton Township Police say that's what happened before sunrise Sunday morning.

Officials say a Hamilton Township Police officer was on Mays Landing-Millville Road just before 6:00 Sunday morning when a car, driven by 23-year-old Marshawn Sudler of Bridgeton, lost control of his vehicle and hit the back of the patrol car.

The officer sustained minor injuries and was transported to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center for treatment. Cops say Sudler was uninjured and arrested on two outstanding warrants, which were unrelated to the crash.

Sudler was charged with reckless driving, careless driving, and driving an uninsured vehicle. Sudler posted bail for the warrants and was released.
