It was a busy night for members of several area volunteer fire companies as they battled a house fire on Leap Street in Egg Harbor Township.

According to the Bargaintown Fire Company, crews were dispatched from Bargaintown and Scullville at about 12:30am to battle the fire.

" On arrival there was heavy fire in the garage spreading to the second floor and attic. A fast team was called from Somers Point and an additional engine for manpower from Cardiff. Members from both Bargaintown and Scullville’s Auxiliaries assisted with refreshments for firefighters. Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad provided rehab for firefighters while Egg Harbor Township Police assisted with road closures and keeping the fire scene clear."

According to fire officials, the fire was completely put out by 4am.

There were no reported injuries.

In addition to the Bargaintown and Scullville Fire Companies, also assisting at the scene were the Scullville Volunteer Fire Company, Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company,
Somers Point Fire Company 1, the Bargaintown Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary.
Scullville Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary, the Egg Harbor Township Police Department, and the Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad.
