Investigation Continues Into Death of Lower Township Woman
Cape May County authorities are continuing to investigate the death of a 31-year-old Lower Township woman.
Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Lower Township Police Chief William Mastriana say they are investigating the death of Caroline Warsinski.
Warsinski was first reported missing on April 9th.
On April 12, 2020, police received a call from a passer-by stating he had found the body of a female in the marsh in the Lower Township section of Sunset Lake. Members of the New Jersey State Police Marine Bureau, Lower Township Police Department, and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office responded and recovered the body.
On April 13, 2020, the Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy and the female was subsequently identified as Caroline Warsinski. According to the Medical Examiner’s Office, the autopsy results are pending at this time.
