Manahawkin Bear Apparently Heading South – Sighted in Parkertown
A big cuddly bear has caught the fancy of Southern Ocean County.
The bear was first spotted Thursday morning, hanging out near the McDonald's drive thru on Route 72, and perhaps headed to Regal Cinemas to inquire about upcoming movies.

Stafford Township Police were able to remain socially distant from the bear, while still keeping track of him - or her.
From Route 72, Stafford Police say the bear was later spotted in the Cedar Run area.
Friday, reports started coming in from a little more South - Little Egg Harbor Township.
As of the writing of this article, early Saturday morning, there have been no more updates.
Naturally, you're being told to stay away from the bear, and, if you do see it, contact local police.
