Mays Landing Woman Robbed on Local Street

An 18-year-old Mays Landing woman was not injured when she was knocked down and robbed early Saturday morning.

Hamilton Township Police say they responded Saturday morning, just after midnight, to the area of Wranglesboro Road and Glen Drive.

An investigation revealed the woman was walking home from work when she was knocked down from behind. Her assailant took her purse and cell phone. The suspect, who did not display a weapon, fled on foot.

Police are on the lookout for the robber, described as " a thin black male, in his early 20s, approximately 5-07 tall, wearing a light gray zip up hoodie, dark shorts, and black shoes."
