It's a parent's nightmare: Your healthy, happy child is involved in a terrible accident, unable to run, jump, and play as he always has.

That's exactly what happened to William Clossey, 13, of Egg Harbor Township. On Labor Day, while looking forward to the start of school and playing for his youth football team, William dove into a pool and sustained serious injuries.

He broke his neck and had to be life-flighted to Cooper Hospital. Since then, he's been undergoing intensive treatment and beginning rehab. According to a family friend, he faces a lot of rehab, and needs a lot of prayers.

"Will has moved to Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Philadelpia. He is making some progress, he has movement in his arms and has had some feeling in other parts of his body. All great things!! The doctors are very impressed with his progress and positive attitude. Will is a fighter, giving up is not an option. He is surrounded by family and his friends and team mates have been getting up there to see him." - Go Fund Me Page

As you can imagine, an injury like this creates a huge financial burden on the family. In addition to all the medical and transportation bill, the family is hoping to have Will come home soon. For that to happen, some modifications need to be done to the family home, and specific medial equipment is needed. A handicapped-accessible van is also a wish.

In an attempt to help out the family, a GoFundMe Page has been set up. You can read more about William, and make a donation here.

"Will all the progress comes the good news that he will be coming home soon. Much sooner than expected! The down side is that there is still so much to be done at the house for Will’s return home. Bills are adding up and there is a real time crunch ahead of the family.
Please help us make this happen for Will. Please donate to help Will’s family get the house ready for him to come home. Any amount will help" - Go Fund Me Page
