Northfield Police Find 5-Foot Tall Marijuana Plants At Local Home
Northfield Police were responding to a call of a domestic disturbance Monday afternoon, when they found something entirely unsuspected.
When officers arrived on the scene of the complaint, on Steelman Avenue, they attempted to secure the perimeter of the property. On the back deck of the home, they found several 5-foot tall marijuana plants.
Police say the plants were "decorated with flowers to disguise the plants" - but, police were not fooled. "Five 5 foot tall marijuana plants were seized from the deck. Officers located additional marijuana inside the home along with a rifle, scales, and other drug paraphernalia. Over 10 pounds of marijuana was seized in total."
Police have charged Dennis Macgrogan, 48, with Possession of Marijuana, Distribution of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Macgrogan was released on a summons and will have to appear in court.
