Occupants Airlifted to Hospital After Egg Harbor Township Crash
Egg Harbor Township Police say a Saturday afternoon crash resulted in serious injuries for occupants in the car.
Police say the single-car crash happened on Ocean Heights Avenue shortly after 1pm.
A car driven by Joseph Vanderhoff, 28, of Somers Point struck a utility pole and a tree. Police are say "the occupants of the vehicle" were airlifted to Cooper Medical Center in Camden - but, they haven't identified the passengers, or revealed how many people were in the car.
Southbound traffic on Ocean Heights was detoured for about two hours Saturday afternoon.
The accident remains under investigation. Police are asking for any witnesses to call the Egg Harbor Township Traffic Safety Unit at 609-926-2643.
