One Hurt as Car Crashes, Bursts into Flames on Rt 30 in Absecon
An unidentified Pleasantville man was critically injured in a one car accident on Route 30 in Absecon Sunday evening.
Absecon Police say the accident happened at about 7:14pm on Absecon Boulevard (Route 30), just west of the Delilah Road overpass.
Police say the car went off the road, struck a utility pole, then burst into flames.
The driver of the car was thrown from the vehicle in the crash. Police say bystanders provided aid before police arrived on the scene.
The man was rushed to the hospital for treatment. No word on his identity of current condition.
Police say the accident remains under investigation. They say speed is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
