An accident occurred last night in EHT right off of the Black Horse Pike, reportedly near Genoa Avenue (almost in Pleasantville) according to Newsbreak.com involving a pedestrian that was struck down. The identity of the victim was not identified.

The accident didn't take place super late in the evening, though. Apparently, the driver hit the pedestrian at around eight o'clock. So, as to whether one could assume any substances were involved is a 'no' at this point. Nothing was mentioned by police about it, so if authorities plan on announcing any additional contributing factors to the crash is their prerogative upon further investigation.  The driver's identity has not been identified, either.

The good news, however, is that this didn't turn into a hit-and-run situation. The driver did stop after the incident occurred. The investigation is currently ongoing. If you or anyone you know has any information that might be able to assist the police with what they're looking for, you are encouraged to reach out to the Egg Harbor Township Police Department; phone number (609)-927-5200.
