Sobriety Checkpoint in Cumberland County Tonight
New Jersey State Police have announced a sobriety checkpoint in Cumberland County tonight (Saturday).
State Police say the checkpoint will be in the Maurice River Township, Cumberland County area.
Officials hope that the checkpoint will lead to safer roads and less impaired-driving accidents. (The hope is just announcing the checkpoint will lead to the same thing.)
Troopers will be looking for signs of impairment due to alcohol or drugs. If you plan on drinking, have a designated driver, arrange for transportation or stay where you are. It’s not worth the risk of hurting or killing yourself, a friend, a loved one, or innocent motorist.
You can always call police if you suspect someone of driving impaired. From a hands-free device, you can dial #77 to report problems.
