You might recognize someone walking down the red carpet this Sunday night at the Oscars. If you don't know him personally, you will definitely recognize where he is from.

Lou Hamou-Lhadj was raised right here in South Jersey - growing up in Washington Township and a member of Washington Township High School's 2004 graduating class. But why is it that we will see him at this weekends big awards show?

After growing his passion in an animation class at WTHS, this Pixar Character Artist now has an Oscar nomination for "Borrowed Time" in the Best Animated Short category. Lou worked alongside Andrew Coats to create an emotion filled not-so-Pixar short featuring a weathered sheriff who has to face demons from his past.

"Borrowed Time" has already been nominated and won awards at movie festivals around the world, including first place at the USA Film Festival. Hamou-Lhadj is also known for his work on animated movies Toy Story 3, Wall-E, Brave and The Good Dinosaur to name a few.

Keep an eye out for this South Jersey boy on the red carpet and don't forget to cheer him on!
