Some Jersey residents are warning you to not knock on their door - or else!

Washington Township, in Gloucester County, has what amounts to a "Don't Bother Me" law - it's a No Knock Registry that is kind of like a Do Not Call Registry.

Residents can sign up to, essentially, be left alone.

Solicitors who violate the law are subject to a $1,000 fine.

If you live in Township of Washington, you can get one of these ultra-friendly stickers to put on your front door:

Hey, kids! This might come as a surprise to you, but we used to actually get excited when someone knocked on our door - or, called us on the telephone!

Now, though, it's "Get off my lawn, and don't call me, either!"
