Two teenagers are in trouble with the law after cops say they burglarized a gas station, attempted to break into a vape shop, and then allegedly committed the crimes in a stolen vehicle.

Middle Township Police say around 5:00 Sunday morning, their officers responded to a burglar alarm at the Conoco Gas Station on Route 9 South in Cape May Court House. Upon arrival, an officer observed a white Chevy Trailblazer parked in the McDonald’s parking lot directly behind the gas station and observed a subject in the vehicle.

The officer stopped the vehicle and found two teenagers inside with burglar tools in plain view.

An investigation revealed the electric to the gas station had been turned off, the gas attendant station by the pumps had been entered, and it appeared there was an attempted entry into a vape shop.

Additionally, the vehicle the juveniles were in was stolen.

Both juveniles, a 15-year-old from Cape May Court House and a 14-year-old from Woodbine, were arrested and charged with burglary, possession of burglar tools, and theft. Both juveniles were released to their parents.
