We've all been there. Commuting to work can be extremely stressful, especially when you throw in a delay day after day.
I spend a good part of my commute on the Garden State Parkway. Every day I see things that drivers do that just drive me absolutely crazy, including excessive speeding, braking at EZ Pass, switching lanes with no turn signal, zipping in and out of lanes, eating while driving, talking on the phone, and not being hands-free.
It also drives me crazy when you have cars in the left lane going 90 MPH, cars in the middle doing 65 MPH, and cars in the right lane going 50 MPH, which can be very dangerous.
My number one and biggest parkway pet peeve, and it's one I experience every day on the way to work and on the way home, is tailgating. I don't understand why somebody has to get right up on top of my rear bumper with hardly any room in between cars while driving. It's also extremely dangerous when you have six or seven cars right on top of each other, going 80 to 90 MPH and riding the left lane.
According to the website car laws.com, nearly one-third of rear-end accidents are caused by tailgating. TAILGATING causes accidents, and it's against the law. You could be ticketed up to $140 or more depending on how fast you're going. You can also throw in 5 motor vehicle points into the mix if you are caught.
You should give yourself two seconds of space between you and the car in front of you during the day, 3 seconds at night, and up to 4 seconds or more during bad weather. I'm amazed that peopled still tailgate during heavy rain, snow, and ice.
Slow down, be safe, and don't tailgate!

What Not to Do on a Traffic Stop According to a NJ Cop
My husband is a police officer. He is an amazing man who saves lives and upholds the law. He makes me proud every single day.
I know being a police officer can come with a lot of criticism, especially when there are bad eggs that give police officers a bad name. I can assure you that there are many police officers that uphold the law and do not abuse it, and my husband is one of them.
I hear stories when my husband comes home and he tells me that he encounters some crazy people. I feel like it is very simple to not get arrested by a police officer once you're pulled over or have an encounter with a cop. I went right to my hubby and he gave me some tips to share with all of you.
