With thousands of Trump supporters potentially clashing with dozens of anti-Trump groups, authorities were prepared for the worst, but officials report only one person was arrested Tuesday in Wildwood.

Wildwood Police report, via a Facebook post,

...one individual was arrested in the late evening hours for acting in a disorderly manner and being found in possession of a large knife. This individual was ultimately issued multiple summons complaints and released in accordance with the New Jersey Bail Reform Act.

Luckily, for everyone involved, crowds on both sides of the political spectrum were much smaller than expected.

Hours before the rally, Lara Trump, appearing in an interview with Harry Hurley on WPG, made national news when she said 175,000 ticket RSVPs had been made. Shortly after the rally, Brad Parscale with the Trump campaign tweeted the actual number of ticket requests was 158,632 -- all for a building with a capacity of about 7,500. Wildwood Mayor Pete Byron estimated the turnout at about 15,000 people.

On the other side, authorities were preparing for as many as thirty groups to protest President Trump. In reality, Wildwood Police say about 200 protestors showed-up.

Authorities also say the Wildwood Fire Department reported a total of 64 responses in and around the Wildwoods Convention Center. Out of the 64 calls, about two dozen were for minor injuries. No serious injuries were reported.
