Two Charged in Connection to Urinating on Memorial for Young Boy
A man from Egg Harbor City and another from Hammonton have been changed in connection to a video posted online that showed a memorial for a young boy at a park in Mays Landing being urinated on.
Hamilton Township Police say 23-year-old Bryan Bellace of Egg Harbor City and 23-year-old Daniel Flippen have been charged. The video, which has since been removed from Facebook for violating community standards, showed a suspect urinating on a memorial for 9-year-old Christian Clopp, who passed away in 2012 from a brain tumor.
The memorial sits in a playground at Underhill Park in Mays Landing.
Once word spread throughout the community, two local residents stepped-up and cleaned-up the memorial earlier Sunday.
Bellace has been charged with Lewdness, Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Mischief, and Local ordinance 225-22A (having an open alcoholic beverage in a park) and released on a summons.
Cops say Flippen recorded Bellace urinating on the memorial and was charged with having an open alcoholic beverage in a park.
