This could be just the event to break us out of our pandemic cocoons.

The Barefoot Country Music Festival is planned for the Wildwood Beach August 19-22.

Concert organizers say they spoke with New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy earlier this year and he agreed that moving the outdoors music festival to August from its original June dates was a move that, hopefully, enable it to come to fruition.

We're keeping our fingers crossed that this is going to happen!

Organizers have just added two more names to the growing roster of performers: Jon Pardi and Chris Lane!

Chris Lane's hits include "Fix", "For Her", "I Don't Know About You", "Take Bake Home Girl" featuring Tori Kelly, and his latest hit, "Big, Big Plans."

The lineup for the festival is already shaping up to be a "Who's Who in Country Music in 2021." Headliners announced so far are Carrie Underwood, Dan + Shay, and the Zac Brown Band. A Thursday night headliner announcement is expected in the next couple of months.

Besides Jon Pardi and Chris Lane, more announced performers are Billy Currington, Jimmie Allen, and the Lynyrd Skynyrd Band.

All told producers of the event are promising over 30 of country music's hottest artist to be a part of the four day festival.
